Why it was quiet
Against Sunderland we were under the cosh and Dion was putting in some heroic clearances. The crowd loved that backs to the wall mentality he showed and really got behind the team. Also, beating Sunderland was seen as a decent feat.
Against Hull it looked like a dull, routine 1-0 win. Hull were rubbish and it's not like they were battering us in the last 15 minutes. Most people thought we would easily hang on and also thought we should beat Hull anyway. Also, we were defending the River End so there was no signing from the defensive end.
