No way is he right!

...when you've got players promising you plenty of goals as we haven't been scoring enough (Etuhu) and a fighting / exciting performance as we've been poor against our rivals the week before (Drury, Doherty, Robinson and Safri to a lesser extent) the performance we saw yesterday ISN'T acceptable.

Considering we've got one of the highest wage bills in the league, yet one of the smallest squads you'd like to believe we've got some decent players in there but they just can't work as a unit - this needs sorting.

Got in a 'discussion' with someone in the Coach last night over the whole 'should we keep Earnshaw or not' debate. In my opinion I think we should cash in in January, someone's bound to be in the 'panic buy' situation (Sheffield United, Charlton etc.) as we were. He's held his value, possibly risen - let's sell and buy in two or three quality players.

We're crying out for a midfield 'bastard' and a quality centre back. Get a midfielder in who can boss and score occasionally, and other players who can supply our strikers and we should be seeing a similar return of goals as Earnshaw currently provides with the cloggers around him.

'But who's available?' was the response...there's surely gems out there. Ipswich managed to get Legwinski for example, and Cahill was all set to sign for Palace until Jordan refused to pay his agent.

So wound up with Grant's comments at the moment, but I know I'll still be there on Tuesday and at Sunderland, Southampton and Wolves. I must be mad!
