Movie recommendation for you
Despite an unpromising title I thoroughly enjoyed "The World's fastest Indian" recently. I wouldn't have bothered (I tend to avoid films or TV shows called 'The Something's Somethingest Something'), but a mate insisted. The Indian in question is a motorbike - and had I known that, I'd probably have given it a swerve whatever: I'd have missed a treat.
I suspect bikers among you will have heard of Burt Munro (the subject of the fillum) and I suppose that those who haven't won't particularly care - but he was an astonishing character and one whose life proves that reality can often tell better stories than fiction writers, subject as they are to having to avoid the unbelievable.
I'll say no more so as to avoid spoiling it for you, except that I'm resisting the temptation to google the bloke to see how much of that movie has been embroidered because I'd *like* to think it's a true account.
Oh - and I saw Borat recently too. OK so there'll be no Nobel Prize coming his way but f**k, that was entertaining. I'm also tempted to google to see if I can find out how many severe beatings/kerb stompings he took in making it!
