Talking about finances below
I see people talking about finance at the club and see people saying things like 'they need to go find some investors then', people who say things like that quite obviously have never been in business!
Its rediculous to think that as a club, when we are short of money, they can just go out and find someone to put money in. For a start Football is one of the most risky businesses out there, how many clubs actually make money, especially in the championship?
Tere really isn't a lot of incentive for anyone to invest any money. NCFC is one of the best clubs in the country at making money in ways apart from football. We have had many other clubs come and visit to see how we handle our finances and go off and copy some of them.
The fact is, our last manager didn't use the finances we had in a good way, that means that the new manager will not have a lot to spend, we have to realise that and give him time to build his own squad with very tight budgets.
As a club we have been fire fighting for years after money being squandered years ago. Playing catch up for all these years, swapping debt about to mean we could spend enough to get to the prem has now caught up with us, its going to be a couple of years of no finances, there is no easy way around that unless there is a fan out there that doesn't mind giving away a lot of money. Tats a gift, not an investment!
