I think that chap epitomises the stereoptypical "Norwikian" when he

feels it interesting to note every single place he's ever been outside Norfolk:

"At one time or another visited Amsterdam, Athens, Cologne, Dublin, Geneva, Heidelberg, Rome, Verona, Venice, and the Mediterranean islands of Naxos and Sicily."

So, he didn't live and work there. He just visited them. Well done mate.
