Sutton did exactly what I predicted he would at the time

waited for the transfer window to close, when (being without a club and thus one if the few players prem teams could still sign) he could get a good Prem deal (certainly ?15k p.w plus). Rumours of his talks with Ipswich suggested he wanted about ?15k per game for a pay as you play deal, which would easily price himn out of our reach.
