... I've been meaning to post what Gordon Strachan wrote in his recent autobiog (not great, was hoping for better) about Huckerby.
He mentions calling him in the past a "scorer of great goals, not a great goal scorer" (just like Alan below about Wazzer, which is what reminded me), and apparently this teed Hucks off a bit. Dint loike ut.
Strachan goes on to explain that as far as a player to take a man, or men, on and beat them with a combination of skill and pace he rates Huckerby as amongst the best. He actually says "I'd rate him up there with Rooney". I'll post the full quote if I think of it when I have the book to hand.
