ok from my perspective here's what was right and wrong:
Gerrard is not a right winger, never has been and never will be. The whole game he spent drifting into the middle leaving Richard exposed. Richards had a good debut and i would like to see him involved more. Gerrard proved what he could do in the middle when he broke through after a wayward backpass, but lacked a little composure when it came to the finish. He should have started in the middle instead of Lampard ,who i thought yet again was poor. When will they leave him out? I cant wait until Hargreaves returns in the place of Carrick. Carrick is completely over rated and i didn't see him do anything last night. Nice to see Joe Cole back, shame he wasn't really fit. Johnson as much as i hate the bloke i thought he was unlucky, McClaren appears to have as much tactical awareness as Worthy. AJ is a centre forwardAs for Rooney's goal, f**k me have you ever heard so much bollocks from the BBC. He never even knew much about it, he had a bit of luck, it WAS NOT a quality finish, it was pretty lucky. But credit to him he had a fairly good game.
