FAO AB and NCFC4Life, regarding Sony MP3 players
I've got one of the old NW-HD3 jobbies and I love it to bits, BUT! When they sell 'em in the EU, by law they must insert a volume limiter in the software. You can turn it off if (Google it) although it's a bit tricky. It only needs doing once.
Also, there should be a little "Hold" slider tucked away on it to stop accidental button presses. Mine does, and I can't imagine the newer ones don't.
I've never had a problem with SonicStage/Connect. Itunes now, I put that on when a friend was visiting, and what a total pile of s**t that was!
Lastly, no matter what MP3 player you've got, do your ears a favour and get some Sony EX71 earphones. They need to be looked after quite carefully, but the sound quality is simply astonishing.
