In all seriousness though, Newell has showed himself to be a bit of an arse on this subject.

What the f**k has the fact that she's a woman got to with her ability to see and make a decision regarding a corner or penalty incident. Absolutely nothing. What's to say that a male official would have made a different decision. Again absolutely nothing. Newell was looking for someone to blame for the defeat and found it in via an easy route out. Pathetic.

Now if he'd been talking about women's football, then he'd have been dead right!
