agree that the plaza is a bit shoddy

but the magnificent thing is the way the way from the outside it represents our fine city as a hustling, bustling world of people, information, culture, history and commerce, paralelling the less impressive City Hall next door.

From the inside looking out, however, it stands for a sunday morning on the broads: the grandeur of the wide open norfolk skies, the silence found only in the middle of a lake and yet the reverance of Ranworth church (or indeed of St Peter Mancroft which is reflected and refashioned in the facade).

From the outside it brings dynamicism to shoppers and businessmen. From the inside it brings peace and quiet to students, academics and pizza-lovers.

That took me far too long.
