Anyone know South Warwickshire at all?

Applied for a job in Birmingham not intending to take it, just for the interview practice etc. Only now they seem quite keen on me and I am quite interested in the job (a lot more than I thought I'd be from the ad).

This would mean uprooting me, Mrs Angler and my Little Anglers. Interview guy recommended South Warks as a reasonable place to live and commute to Brummagen. Anyone here know better/different, anyone got recommendations of areas that are good/bad to live in? We don't want to live in Birmingham itself, a small town or village within commuting distance and with nice schools would be ideal.
