Said mate had taken a serious beating a few months previously, and since then had gone around with nunchaku in his coat, we all told him he was a t**t, and he'd end up in jail or something.

I only mentioned it to paint a picture of the undertone of casual aggression that was all part of the Pool Club experience - you were always hearing about some ruck or other that a mate of a mate had seen under the flyover.
