They wanted to sell their training ground in Middlewood to developers (rumour was it was going to be turned into a supermarket) for ?10m, but halted the plan when they thought that planning permission wouldn't be granted.

Not sure how relevant any of that is, in terms of cash-flow, but surely selling the training ground is the action of a pretty desperate club?

The chairman says they are "continually on the precipice".
