Belated thoughs on last night
Just got back from the midweek sortie to Brum and am pleased to say thats the best I have seen us play away for some considerable time. Other than an iffy 10 minute spell before half time when we stopped passing the ball I never really felt that we were going to lose and on the break we looked dangerous throughout. indeed if Hucks, Earnie and Dixon had their shooting boots on we could have won by 3 or 4!
Early days but signs are promising. There was a lot more steel throughout the side and Grant was shouting and barking instructions at them throughout the game which makes a really pleasant change.
He will rise or fall depending on his ability to get our midfield trio playing consistently and sort the defence out and last night both were good.
The Doc and Shack both had the best games i can recall them having for a while (apart from one error Shack made at the end of the first half which Campbell should have scored from).
Saf looked more interested than he has done in weeks as did Etuhu.
All in all encouraging - now to give the league leaders a beating on saturday!
