It doesn't go quite as far as I'd have liked. Lots of questions unasked.

It seems the authors of the Templar Revelation were of the same opinion, and researched those questions themselves. I'm thinking particularly the Black Madonna cult and the links with Isis/Diana in Egyptian mythology.

Perhaps Baigent, Lincoln and the other chappie go a bit further in the follow up book they wrote. The Messianic Legacy, or something like that...
