"MLJ is a consistent, classy player. He had a poor season last year but he was hardly alone in that. His defensive game is sound, his positional sense excellent and he's as good a far-post header in terms of clearances as you're likely to see. His only problem is his final ball - his crossing is truly atrocious. But everything else - touch, tackling, distribution - top notch. He traditionally worked very well with Brennan on the other side, too."
