Peter Grant comments when not drunk

Ok, so my mad "Peter Grant's yella n' Green army' comments were rather drunken ones. Why do I come on this message board after a few and nopt with a lady I don't know...(well, I do, I never pull)

Anyway, I think Grant needs to be given a chance, given backing and most importantly, a chance to develop his own footballing style at the club. I am glad that the appointment has gone to someone young and hungry whou could "do" a Boothroyd, Tilson or Newell, rather that a has-been money grabber like Robson etc.

He seems to be highly rated at West Ham, where in his two seasons there he helped get them from the Championship to the Premiership, and kept them there and an FA Cup Final. I don't think an assistant manager's job should be underestimated. The players there, such as Reo-Coker admire him as does Alan Pardew. It is good that he helped develop a set of young British players such as Ferdinand, Reo-Coker, Mullins etc into a good team.

Maybe he will give a deserved chance to the Jarvis's, Spillane, Cave-Brown (when fit) and Eagle?

Well, all I can say is that I a m quietly pleased with the appointment having thought about it and I will get behind Grant and the boys from Tuesday.

For one time and one time only today: HUNTER's YELLA n' GREEN ARMY! Enjoy it Martin.
