Tilson and Curbishley would have been the only preferred options ahead of Grant. but they would have ultimately cost us a fortune.

Grant is no worse and no better than Bowen or Crook. It's just that they were held in far higher esteem than Grant. That should not be a deciding factor when appointing a new manager

What therefore is the problem?
