Doncaster was interviewing all day today
I think they are interviewing a hell of a lot of people for the job, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Newman has been interviewed - however he did say himself that he wouldn't apply for the job as he doesn't haven't the experience to warrant it.
However, if it's true that Delia has decided on him then it will take a lot to change her mind - she is notoriously stubborn. I'm told that she'd already decided that Worthy was going after the Plymouth match (i.e. before that statement) and it was just a matter of finding the right moment.
