Well, what university DOES teach you is

how to get a job in which you are not undervalued or underpaid and therefore not whine about it.

I agree though that unless smoking dope and protesting about Sainsbury's stocking of Peruvian water strawberries despite the fact that the Peruvian president's baby wears disposable nappies are considered life skills, you do have a point.

On the other hand, students, once out in the real world, then start to learn life skills and realise how naive they were thinking they'd learnt about life in Uni. But luckily they have academic skills which allow them to make money while adjusting.

You, on the other hand, are going to come out of the army and have similar culture shock in the real world and have no skills other than how to bravely kill a dot on your screen at 3km by pressing a button.
