what exactly is the problem with Blackwell?
He's from the region, was able to get to the playoff finals on a shoe string, and won't cost us the earth.
i'm not saying he's my first choice, but he did a pretty good job at leeds, and would probably have a lot more to offer than Newman, Penney or Hunter. It's a conservative choice, but next season we will need to be looking for bargains, not earnshaws and huckerbys, so maybe he's the right man to help us stabilise and then grow. leeds managed to shed about 100k of debt over the period blackwell was in charge.
