Here's a quick precis of Hoddles' club career, hardly nothing, but I'm not sure if it's what we need either :

Swindon Town

Took over a team in danger of slipping into Division 3 after their financial scandal in March 1991, to 9th place in 91-92.

Won the Div 1 (now Championship) playoffs in 92-93 season.

Moved to Chelsea - Jun 93

Reached the FA Cup final in his first season, losing 4-0 to double winning Man Utd.

Semi-finals of Cup Winners Cup , 94-95

FA Cup Semis - 95-96

as a league side, Chelsea under Hoddle were mid-table - 3 11th places in the Premiership in 4 seasons 93-96.

Southampton 00-01

Kept Southampton in the Premiership, fell out with the board, moved to Spurs.

Spurs

01 / 02 : League Cup Finalists - 9th in Premiership
02 / 03 : 10th in Premiership

Wolves

04 / 05 : 9th in Championship

1 loss in first 25 games, but 21 draws in the season.

05 / 06 : 7th in Championship

W 16 D 19 L 11

Hoddle makes his teams hard to beat, but seems to draw too often for league success.
