Wayne Biggins - The Most Underrated Player In NCFC History

Wayne 'Bertie' Biggins' partnership with Kevin 'Drinks All' Drinkell was one of the most stunning striking partnerships in NCFC history. While Drinkell gleaned the majority of plaudits from supporters and the media in the seasons he graced Carrow Road's hallowed turf it was 'Bertie' that was the 'class act'.

The Sheffield born former hod-carrier was simply the best all-round striker NCFC possessed (with the possible exception of Chris Sutton). Biggins had pace, agility, vision, work-rate, a positive attitude and supreme ball skills.

His light shined briefly at NCFC but he was an astonishing player. Long live 'Bertie'!

What a glorious nation!
