Proven manager

I can only think of 3. Mourinho, Ferguson and O'neill.

Curbishley did a good job at Charlton but to my mind is unproven. When people says he's only managed charlton about the England position I don't think it just meant that they aren't a big club. He's only managed 1 club. He might go on to be a huge success at his next job but he's not proven many managers do well at 1 club to be a disaster at the next.

O'Neill did well at Wycombe, wellish here in his brief spell, Leicester and celtic. For me thats proven.

We arent going to get proven.

And for anyone who thinks megson is proven I'd suggest a trip to the GPs. He did well at West Brom until trhey went up, Stockport and 1 other ? but was a disaster at blackpool and here and its best not to mention his name to Forest fans. How about Joe Kinner ?? (joking)

Steve Tilson is unproven but has 2 promotions.

Colin calderwood is the closet thing to proven for me in that he seems to have transfered success at Northampton to Forest but thats pretty tenuous.

Despiter what I've said I'd like Curbishley but Bowen/Crook would be a good 2nd choice and Hunter not a disaster but hardly inspiring.
