I dont think it is that clear-cut...

I dont think i would do anything different than him - in fact i'm sure i wouldnt do anything different, givent that the board have continually sat on their hand and hoped the problems would go away.

He isnt guarnateed a job elsewhere, so IMO he would be crazy to forfeit a year's salary.
