The stupidest thing

is this 2 game announcement and its timing.

For me the final straw for Worthington was the preston and ipswich debacles at the start of the year. We'd got back into real playoff contention and were the form team in the division. There was NO excuse for lack of confidence and yet we spinelessly collapsed. Game over as far as I was concerned.

This announcement is jsut so stupid. We all know hes doomed now. Given how many people want him and have wanted him out for so long the first sign that the board have considered firing him means that the pressure won't let up now until we either win promotion or sack him. To do it before a home game against midtable opposition (we'd expect to win this normally) which will prove NOTHING if we win followed by a two week break which will seem like a lifetime if he's not gone is just so stupid.

Frankly I feel sorry for him having to face that atmosphere on sunday and if he wanted to sue for constructive dismissal he'd have good grounds.
We've noqw potentially thrown away 3 valuable home points or 2-3 weeks of preparation time for a new manager for no discernable benefit.

UNLESS they just did it to fob fans off and have no plans to remove him in which case I think they have BADLY miscalculated.
