The extra million quid came from two players who were signed the season before Walker came back (so even Martin O'Neill was give a million to spend on players, the season when we were 90 minutes from bankruptcy - allegedly)

My original point was that NW's spending has not been as profligate as people make out.

The 2.5 million spent by Walker was when the club was turning over some 7 mill p.a turnover; as the club are now turning over some 12-14 mill p.a then it is only natural that NW will spend more on transfers.
