If the manager is the thoroughly nice, decent bloke he is supposed to be
Then surely he will offer his resignation to avoid the board that have backed him all the way from taking the flak that they are now getting (and deserving in my opinion).
He has said he won't resign but he said the same thing at Blackpool, and if rumours are to be believed, he offered to resign after one our dire home performances last year.
Question is, will the board accept his resignation or will they try and persuade him to stay like they did with Hamilton. They seem to think he is wonderful but if they had got their way, we might never have had him as manager and stuck with Hamilton.
If he really cares for this club, it fans (yeah right), or the board of directors who have shown such loyalty to him, he should do the decent thing and resign before the division and mistrust that is destroying this club goes to far to be repaired.
