Saturday...

The last time Norwich lost 1-0 at home to Palace, Clinton Morrison scored the winner on the hour mark from a pin-point long pass from the on-loan Ashley Cole, who I said would one day play for England. A few years on and Ashley is now Cashley Cole playing for Chelsea and England, and Norwich and Palace are still in the same division and on this evidence will be staying there for a very long time.

I caught my train from Liverpool St after dancing the night away in Islington Academy on 12 pints jumping up and down to live music from the pigeon detectives as well as many a glorious riotous indie tune then exchanging numbers with a hot girl called Liz, I didn't get any sleep, there wasn't any point really and drink just seemed a great option...I grabbed an Egg and Bacon Sandwich, some Lucozade and felt wide awake again...then I had sit next to SCC for 2hrs...there's always a catch!

When I got to Norwich I kept awake by drinking the wonderful Koppaberg Cider and also boring people with the above tales of the previous night...which was kinda the same day...oh anyways onto the football...

I think it was on 28mins I looked at the scoreboard and was shocked over a quarter of the game had gone...maybe I had fallen asleep, Carrow Rud was as quiet as can be at some points, there was no inspiration...the crowd and team missed Hucks badly and I was very very bored with a very very s**t view of the game and it made me very very tired...all I wanted was a text back from the hot bird I had met last night...and at a push one decent Norwich attempt on goal.

Palace dominated the second half and every time they had a corner it looked men against boys, Shackell and Doherty (how do people rate these 2 apes?) at the heart of a defence who were probably still reeling from the shocking defending on the last 6 goals we conceded seemed to think it was a good idea to keep allowing Palace players loads of space in the penalty area and manage to get at least 2 efforts in before we somehow scrambled the ball away...we were let off time and time again and also with Morrison's handball effort that had possibly crossed the line before hand. (no pun intended) but in injury time - shocking marking allowed Kuqi to power in a header and celebrate in front a few thousand Norwich fans who had done their best to make him really want to score.

The train home to London featured Palace fans acting like they had won the FA Cup and 4 songs repeated over and over...I used to like Seven Nation Army...now I fear it will make me want to hit people. The occasional bit of Delia abuse thrown in to for good measure, after 1hr it was very tedious and boring, after 2hrs I was ready to kill myself.*

*not really...only cos that Liz girl text back though...yay...ha. :>)

the end.
