I'm old, I'm angry, and I've had enough

Worthington has got to the limits of his capabilities and we need a change. We really do.

He turned us round when he took over and for that I am and will remain grateful. He had a lot of money to help him, of course - Rioch would have killed for the money that Worthy had. And he got lucky in the loans market (a success which seems to have got him hooked on loans, to our cost for the last two years or more). But he did get us up.

But since he got us up, we have become painfully aware that he just is not a particularly good manager. Our season in the prem was absolutely dire. First he got rid of our two biggest characters, Iwan and Malky. (Getting rid of Malky was f**king stupid and a lot of us said so at the time; just HOW stupid is only just emerging.) It was only turned round when he was forced by injury (and pique) to play the formation and players that the fans had been screaming for for months. He didn't buy enough players and he didn't buy any quality until it was too late. That may not just have bene him - maybe the purse strings were being held "until January" by the Board; maybe he really wanted Deano in July. But he didn't persuade the Board, and we need a manager with not only the vision to spot good targets, but also the personality to MAKE the Board give him the money.

Our first season down was a disaster, because of terrible transfer market activity by Worthy. He spent 500k on Hughes (only ever a back up/squad player). He bought JJ - and had him out on loan within 3 months, FFS! He signed Uncle Peter at f**k knows what wage, and I souldn't think he's had a dozen games. He signed MLJ, a has-been from the word go. He pissed money away on ridiculous loan signings, apparently with the sole aim of finishing a few places higher in midtable so he wouldn't get the sack (Zesh Who?). We were just rubbish.

And this season? Well, he's signed a good right midfielder. It's taken him a long time, but Croft looks like a really good buy. And at least we're playing pretty football - sometimes. And we've got Earnie; not as useful as Deano but still class.

But the same old, same old failings are still horribly with us. I know you all know them all but just for fun, here they are. He's had another SHIT summer in the transfer market. How the FUCK have we ended with what must be one of the thinnest squads in the division after a season's promotion and two seasons' parachute payments? How on earth did he manage to sign just ONE PLAYER - count him, just one - in an entire summer's transfer activity?? We fold abysmally away from home. He makes stupid substitutions. He doesn't seem able to inspire the team. Yadda yadda yadda.

I've had enough, I really have. He can't take us any further. Sack him, PLEASE. Give me my Saturdays back.
