Comments: Why did Beth Anderson do the backup vocals on the NES Story Video when Mandy was going to lip sync it? Mandy seems to have a good voice so I am wondering why she didn't do the actual singing or was this someone else's decision?

Comments: To answer your question: Mandy didn't sing on anything. She was just geographically in the right place at the right time. She was hired by the director for the UK video "Only for love" and when I needed a girl later on for TV shows, etc I gave her a call coz we got on quite well. Most TV shows are not geared up for live vocals and work only with full playback (mime) so it didn't really matter if Mandy could sing or not. As far as I know Beth was hired as a session singer by the producer Giorgio Moroder and I consequently didn't have much contact with her at all !! I presume EMI records didn't want to use her in Europe (where the song was no'1 in every country) because it was probably too expensive to fly her all the way from Los Angeles.
