You haven't said what's on the data disk: if you just want to make a data dvd then(I'm told) you just burn it like you would a data CD - and as Arganth says, just a drag-and-drop will do. Ask if you don't know what that means.
If, however, you want to make a DVD out of saved data you're possibly going to have to convert the files into a format the DVD player will read. Go onto Google and look for a DVD Converter. You can get that kind of thing as freeware, or can download trial versions of converters. There are loads, though, so make sure you know what format your files are currently in, and look for a converter which states clearly that it does do that particular conversion.
