Quick Fifa 07 demo review for anyone who's interested...

This was very quickly typed up for another forum so excuse the spelling mistakes and grammer...

On a general note this is the very best fifa in most departments. its is a very very good game and i will give it very deserved and high 86% (considering i gave pro evo5 a 91% its a very high score).

so what exactly is there to criticise.
Well lets say its not much.

first of all we will talk of bugs. as this is a demo i dont know if we should be worried or not.

the freekick bug where the kicker doesnt take the freekick on the right spot is still present. i saw ronaldhino gain an unpresidented 10 yards converting a no hope free kick to a scoring chance.
There are some funny bounces but i think i would be fixed.

The bad.
-the ground passes are slowwwww. there is no way u can replicate arsenal or barcelona type matches on this. there is always a wait for the ball to get to your man but wat is weird is tht as slow as the ball is it still rolls out of play. its like friction doesnt decellerate but slows it to a constant velocity.

-turning. finally this has been slowed down but way too down especially for top players. ronaldhino turning was like was like watching a toddler turn. it does make it a bit realistic if u r using a weak player, but this combined with the slow passing and non-existent first time football are resposible for the loss of 10% on my score chart.

now the new and the good
-FINALLY you can change the kicker on the fly. this has been a flaw for 5 years and i am glad it has been fixed. the freekicks are now pro evo style but easier to score from. same with corners which means atlast dead ball is not equal dead game. the set piece arrangements are great as well as the justle. i tell u there will be some fantastic stuff goals this season

-aerial play. just as the above this has been revamped to bring you pure un-adultrated funn. year nn. i would rather leave you figure this out as i only saw a little and i generally dont cross the ball (100% arsenal for you)
but i did notice tht good defenders will always cut u out which is great.

-shooting. well this reminds me of pro evo on the psone. absolutlley fantastic stuff. the compusure stuff is almost an exact carbon-copy but its just meaner harder and very rewarding especially when u are the defender. this has even made the ai resort to long range shots so they avoid the inbox compression. but there is a bummer. i take loadsa long range shots and it seems weaker foot has no effect. wiltord hammered a steve G type 35 yard shot into the top corner and then a 25 yard curler. i dont know if it was luck but i naturally find long range shots in games easy but this was even easier if not too easy. i say its the difficutly

-passing has already been reviewed but as for lobbing i have a bug "?" but it is down to personal prefrences. i think the ball is too low and not free enough simple. as for passing fifa 2003 is still arguably the best. ea needs to re install manual passing.

-goal keepers. well they have been improved in many ways but the only areas short would be tht they arent aggresive enough on players in the box, they dont get booked, they punch the ball wayyy too much and they are a bit too acrobatic for low easy shots. i have never seen a goalie hold the ball.

-refereeing is great. and so is tackling

-camera angles. man i think ea needs to change every single camera angle in the game. they limit the game way too much.

-dribbling and first touch. very cool but i didnt dabble tht much.

-Ai would not be commented on until pc demo. but they fight hard and try hard to score. but as yet, i am yet to loose or even draw a game, wich also contributed to a lack of points on the score chart for me

very good game overall but as for a pes beater.........sorry not this year. The game play is almost there but not quite as sleek and as free pes.
