First time I've been on here since the window shut...

and surprised by some of the comments.

It's clear that Leon wanted to go, so keeping him here against his will would just be a stupid thing to do. It also now elevates the likes of Jarvis and Hendo (who's a forward don't forget) to a place on the bench and we may now see these two getting the games they derserve.

Secondly, I don't think the club could have done any more regarding young Cotterill. We were close to taking a big gamble on a relative unproven forward who, most probably, would have warmed the bench most weeks as it's clear the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation is going to stay whilst we continue to pick up the results.

Finally, I really do not agree with people who are angered by the sale of Green. He's not improved in my eyes for the last couple of seasons, and he really does not comand the box at all from set pieces. He is a great shot stopper, but I believe that's his only major attribute. He's also wanted to leave for 18 months, but unlike Leon/Francis, has some brains and did things quietly.

We've now got a few quid in the bank to spend, and come October, 3 months til the window re-opens, we can look to get in loan players if needed with the view to sign in January.

I'm still not a massive fan of the manager, but he's done okay so far this season if you ask me, and til things change he's got ym 100% backing over the season so far...
