gets left on the bench. Yes i'm sure that would go down wonderfully with the fans and the player.
Odd target for me from the start considering the role he would surely have filled (i.e. Leon's place on the bench).
However how many strikers are there out there who would come here, be happy to sit on the bench, are realisitically priced, and still good enough to replace earnie if he gets injured.
Precious few I would think.
I'm gutted we've not added to the squad, but we are in a wierd situation this season. We don't need first team players jsut back-up, but after the (rightful) criticism oflast seasons signings how would bringing more average players in sit with the fans? In some ways a slower start would of helped us.
