the most common mistake on earth

is the fallacy that people are the same from one day to the next when in fact people change and develop all the time.

Last season, people weren't happy with the sit u ation and made their feelings known. It was clear that if we continued playing the way we were doing, we'd face relegation and all hope of seeing the premiership again would be gone. Worthy (and the players, it should be noted) showed no signs of changing things round and the fans therefore wanted him out before it was too late.

Now, happily, nige has proved us wrong by getting rid of foley and bringing in a great coach, as well as making just one very astute signing, and has given us a chance of winning the league. We should credit him for the progress he has made with the team and with the progress he has made as a manager. And if he f**ks up again, we will once again call for his head.

I don't see that as being fickle, just as being demanding, which is part of what a fan should be imho.
