he said "barring a miracle" the current squad wouldn't get us promoted. The luck we had with injuries in 03/04 was a miracle so using that as a precedent isn't undermining his case at all.

You're second argument (that we have money to spend) is simply backing up his argument that we need more players added to the squad.

Poor show - we all know you can be a far better wind-up merchant than that when you actually put a bit of effort in.
