yeah, which is in practice, making a slight mockery of sky money

boro got nearly 25k today, and average 29k

Speculate that tv money means Boro get 500k for the game

Speculate that Boro ticketing is ?30, so they lost 4000 crowd due to tv ?120,000

Out of that 4000, how many would buy a programme? Lets say 1000 at ?3, and how many of that 4000 would buy food or a drink at half time, say 1000 spending ?3.

That's an extra ?5000

So boro gain ?500,000 but lost out on ?125,000 making ?375k

Making it a myth that prem clubs gain 500k when they are on sky

That doesn't sound a bad deal really, but stick Bolton on channel 5, when channel 5 probably don't pay highly (at a guess 100k), and the difference could mean Bolton run a game on tv at a loss. Just a guess
