If European competition a) wasn't vastly over crowded, and b) the distance between

the prem and the championship, and even the distance between the top 6 and the rest of the prem then the gap between the prem and championship was so big, then I think the carling cup would be taken seriously

Prem clubs are scared of the injuries and resources damaging them, teams in the uefa value that more than the carling cup, and football league clubs are just desperate to get in the prem with the resources available

Sadly the carling cup is just about as worth winning as the autowinscreens shield is to league one and two sides
