Come August 6th, who would you like to see in our starting XI?

Mine would be, in 4-3-3 formation:

Green (GK)
Don't need to sell him in order to afford the rest of my team and his Premiership options are fast running out.

Taylor (RB)
Great prospect, have been linked with him, would be a good buy for ?700k?

Helveg (CB)
Great experienced professional, he's better than Fleming and will be a great role model for Taylor and...

Shackell (CB)
Obvious choice, was a rock at the tail-end of last season, let's hope he can keep on improving.

Drury (LB)
Criticised last season, but I think people have overlooked some fine performances (vs. Man City in particular) especially when he had to cope with Huckerby playing infront of him. Passing could be better though.

Jarrett (RCM)
Solid tackler and strong runner, exactly what we need in the middle of the park when we are playing a 4-3-3 formation.

Safri (CM)
This man is firm in the tackle too, but as we saw towards the tail end of last season, he can play the killer ball, and is certainly composed with the ball at his feet.

Commons (LCM)
Can play a more defensive role, so this is where I have included him, but also has craft and vision to his game. Good with the ball at his feet again. Probable cost: ?800k.

McKenzie (RCF)
I know he is left footed, but with Huckerby in the LCF position, we have two players who can cut inside and put a shot in, and also run at defenders.

Ashton (CF)
The next Alan Shearer.

Huckerby (LCF)
Causes havoc.

(Francis will have been sold for roughly ?2.5m.
McVeigh will also be sold, negligible fee.)

Midfield is a bit vertically challenged, but hopefully soild enough to do a good job.
