"It was that BSE that got them" mused the fat yank aloud to his disinterested wife on the train from Grindelwald to the North Face of the Eiger. "Yeah, that's what that was. That BSE killed 'em all. There used to be thousands of cows round here. Mad cow disease is what it was. Yeah" broadening the scope of his bulls**t to take in the whole carriage. This continued for many minutes until Swiss-resident Matt pointed out that there was no BSE in Switzerland and the cows had simply been moved further up the slopes for summer grazing. Fat Yank was having none of it, however, "No, it was that BSE. Killed them all. Used to be thousands of cows round here" he continued on to the great amusement of all within earshot as the train rose higher and the evidence of cows grazing hove into view ...

A true story.
