Leon - the story

I suspect he wants to leave for first team football - he can see that Worthy is not going to play him alongside Earnie and is looking to bring in another striker who would then be first line if we went 4-4-2.

So he hands in a transfer request, the club publicise it to see who's interested and at what price, while turning down the request because they can't sell him until they have got a replacement - who will be bought with the Greeno money and once they know what they might get (if anyone) for Leon.

Bear in mind the club was all set to sell Leon to Reading at Xmas in our Prem season (can't remember why we didn't now), so the writing has been on the wall for some time.
