alternatively

if no-one does come in for him at that point with what he wants then maybe he'll drop his demands to a point where we can afford him? I still think he'll hang on till the window is shut and see what happens when he has the market almost to himself. It's the sensible thing to do in his position and I don't think he's an idiot.
