That's why it takes so long to iron them - you can't just plonk them on a board and run number-3-setting all over them with steam, you have to treat each quiltwork square separately, lightly moisten - not dampen! - then touch the iron over so as to smooth the fabric without damaging the foam.
If you were a qualified assistant kit care professional you'd have known that yourself!
