FAO Pants
Sorry Sam but this isn't a debate you can have with me. You haven't seen him "play" for us so you simply don't know what you are talking about. He has no pace, no fitness, and his knees are going so he will not do anything other than the smallest jump. Whatever he had has gone and he has gone further backwards over the past few months - not so long ago he came on with a few minutes to go at Plymouth and really put himself about and played well (considerably better than England's Dean Ashton that day) but even that is now beyond him. All this bollocks about the new fit and raring to go Thorne is just bluster designed to cover up the fact that signing him was a huge blunder, and a con to get other clubs to think he might do a job for them. He won't.
And Thorne wasn't reason we lost yesterday - although we would have been better pushing the Doc up in the closing stages. We lost a match we deserved to win because Earnie missed a few he would normally bury because of a poor refereeing decision and because we lost our shape when Croft went off.
Is it to be a wrath characteristic that someone champions a player because they are the only one never to see him play for us? First it was the ludicrous XXL loves Sutch thing, is it now you and Thorne?
