Q: Do the Board hope the appointment of Martin Hunter as coach means we will see our youngsters given more of a look-in than previous campaigns under Worthington?

ND: There is a common misconception that Nigel does not value youth players. This is the same manager who gave debuts to the two youngest players in Norwich City history in Ryan Jarvis and Michael Spillane and who also blooded Andrew Cave-Brown and Rossi Jarvis last season. He also has brought on Robert Green and Jason Shackell to be first team regulars. The acquisition of Lee Croft this season, Dean Marney last season and David Bentley the season before on-loan are further examples. The danger in over using young players before they are mentally ready is in risking their long-term development.
