Chris Sutton

I for one think we should get Sutton on a pay as you play deal if we can. He is after all infinitely better than Thorne, who I thought was of Conference standard last season. The one snag I can see, which might have gone through Worthington's mind, is Sutton's popularity with the fans. You can imagine the reception Sutton would get as he stepped back out onto Carrow Road in a Norwich shirt - it will be 100% chants of "Sutton, Sutton" going round the place (or super super Chris etc...)- a hero's welcome which would probably bring the house down.

The point is, Sutton will be bigger than Worthington - as he has the support of the fans over Worthington. Imagine if things started badly - Worthington would be under severe pressure, and Sutton would probably be able to get away with any behaviour as the fans would be 100% on his side, especially if he is playing really well. He could even see an opportunity to manouver himself into a position to undermine the management and possible take the reigns as our next manager! This is probably unlikely, but it might be what is going through Worthington's mind.
