I think that's a pretty unfair comment. If you listen to radio 5 live at night time
They regularly went to espn in the US for comment on the world cup, and they commented factually and accurately on world cup teams progress a lot lot better than the run of the mill "england have won 4 games in a row, what is everyones problem?"
It's bit of a myth to think they are just shouting and ranting reports with grids like it's an American Football game
