A nasty opportunist, who began his political life as a socialist

If I recall correctly the original "fascists" were a socialist splinter group who morphed into a vicious band of strike breakers who beat up anyone considered a socialist/communist.

While he may have been elected to the Italian parliament and invited to become the leader, it was the threat of the March On Rome that sealed the King's decision.

Other than that I don't really know much about the original Fat Controller.
